Spider Web Cupcakes How-To

These Halloween cupcakes will set an arachnophobes heart a flutter!

You will need:
Spider Web Cupcake Wrapper 
3D Hunchback Spider
– Writing decorating tip
Super Black Food Coloring
- Electric Green Food Coloring
- Your favorite cupcake recipe
– Your favorite frosting recipe (we love buttercream)
- Decorating bag

Instructions:
1. Bake cupcakes according to instructions in regular muffin cups. Let cool.

2. While cupcakes are cooling, prepare the frosting. Divide into two bowls. One for the base color (green) and one for the web color (black). Place black frosting in decorating bag fit with writing tip.

3. Frost the top of the cupcake with the green frosting using a pastry bag and tip of your choosing. Then carefully pipe web design onto each cupcake using decorating bag with small writing tip using the black frosting.

4. Affix Hunchback Spider Picks to cupcakes by gently pushing into the frosting.

5. Assemble cupcake wrappers by fitting the tabs together and securing with tape.

6. Carefully put each cupcake in a wrapper and serve.

 

Spider Web Cookies How-To

You will need:
No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe or store bought cookies
Round Cookie Cutter
Orange Food Color
Sugar Spider Assortment
– Toothpicks
– Fudge or ganache

Directions:

1. Make your favorite cookie recipe and let cool; alternately, you may use pre-made cookies.

2. Tint icing orange using a few drops of Orange Food Color.

3. Ice each cookie.

4. Use fudge or ganache in a round tip to pipe a chocolate spiral on each iced cookie.

5. Before icing crusts, use a toothpick to drag lines through icing as shown, to create a webbing affect. TIP: Begin from the center of the cookie and pull toothpick outward.

6. Attach Spider Assortment decorations to each cookie.

Directions:

2. While cake is cooling, prepare the frosting. Divide into two bowls. One for the base color (yellow) and one for the web color (orange). Place orange frosting in decorating bag fit with writing tip.

3. Frost the cake with the yellow frosting using a pastry bag and tip of your choosing. Then carefully pipe web design onto cake using decorating bag with small writing tip using the orange frosting.

4. Affix Spider Decorations to cake by gently pushing into the frosting.

Halloween Stencil Cookies

Boo’tiful Halloween treats are easy with this set of 3 frightful cookie stencil designs!

You will need:
Halloween Cookie Top Stencil Set
No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe
4″ Round Cookie Cutter
1 bag royal icing
– Your choice of gel food coloring (we like Electric Orange and Super Black)
– Small spatula

Instructions:
1. Use No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe and cut out several circular shapes. Bake and cool as directed.

2. While cookies are cooling, prepare the royal icing or frosting (buttercream frosting will also work). Divide into bowls and dye the desired color(s).

3. Center the stencil on top of one of the cooled cookies.

4. Using an off-set spatula or a regular spatula spread a thin layer of royal icing or buttercream over the top of the stencil.

5. Carefully lift the stencil off the cookie and allow the icing to completely dry before storing in an airtight container.

Tombstone Cookies

These unique tombstone cookies are a quick and easy way to put the spooky spirit in your next Halloween party! Simply just bake tombstone sugar cookies with our 3″ tinplate tombstone cookie cutter and add our one of a kind edible tombstone cookie wafer paper images! Your guests will be dying for more!

You will need:
Halloween Tombstone Wafer Paper
Royal Icing Mix
Edible Clear Gel or light corn syrup
Tombstone Cookie Cutter
Squeeze Bottles
– Parchment Paper
– Sugar Cookie Recipe, we recommend our No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe
– Small craft scissors

Instructions:
1. Prepare Sugar Cookie dough according to instructions. Cut out several tombstone shapes. Bake on parchment paper and let cool.

2. While cookies are cooling, prepare your royal icing. Add water, a teaspoon at a time, until a consistency between heavy cream and ketchup is reached. Divide into two or three bowls and dye the desired color(s) or keep white. Pour icing into squeeze bottles.

3. Carefully frost base layer of icing with squeeze bottle onto cookies and let dry completely, about 3-5 hours or overnight.

4. Prepare Halloween Tombstone Wafer Paper shapes by carefully cutting out with small craft scissors.

5. Spread out iced cookies on a large piece of wax or parchment paper.

6. Affix wafer paper shapes to cookie by spreading a thin layer of edible clear gel (or light corn syrup) on the back of the wafer paper piece with your finger. Stick to the top of one of your iced cookies and then flip right side down onto the wax paper and leave for approx. 30 minutes. This will ensure that the wafer paper will dry flat.

7. Flip cookies right side up and add additional dragees, sprinkles or quins, if desired.

8. Let set completely and store in an airtight container.

Halloween Sugar Cookies

 No Fail Halloween Sugar Cookies

- 6 cups all-purpose flour
– 3 teaspoons baking powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 2 cups unsalted and softened butter
– 2 cups granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                * All ingredients need to be at room temperature.

1. Cream sugar and butter until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl and add to butter mixture. Mix well.

2. Put a handful of the freshly made dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll to desired thickness. Repeat with the rest of the dough. Put the rolled dough, including the parchment paper, on a cookie sheet and refrigerate for 10 minutes or longer. Your dough will be chilled and ready to cut and bake with no wait and no added flour! Repeat with scraps after cutting cookies.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 -10 minutes. Let cool.
