Is it already that time of the year? We are amazed with how fast the warm summer months are cruising by – but enjoying every second of and we hope you are too! We just got these fab new Back to School Wafer Paper patterns in and wanted to share with you! The patterns are truly too cute for words! The collection includes colorful wafer paper globe, composition book, dictionary pages, and Dick & Jane book pages. A great project to start the kids off on the right foot for their first day back at school – what child (or adult, for that matter) wouldn’t love seeing these in their lunch box?!

For the globe we used our Stainless Steel Globe Cookie Cutter, for the open books we used our Book Cookie Cutter  and for the composition book we used a simple rectangular cookie cutter. Patterns are sized perfectly to fit these cutters.

Stamped with Love

February 1st! Goodness…Valentine’s Day is a mere 14 days away and we couldn’t be more excited to share some unique chocolate treats with you ! These premium dark chocolate heart stamps are a perfect little adornment to a postcard cookie. Simply use a rectangular cookie cutter to cut-out shapes from a batch of our yummy No Fail Sugar Cookie Dough. Then use royal icing to decorate the cookies as you wish (a love letter, perhaps?) and affix the stamp with a dab of icing, just as you would a traditional postcard!

Also new to fancyflours.com are these lovely dark chocolate hearts with red and white scroll patterns. These little treats are so beautiful and could be served in a small dish on their own or could be used to jazz up some store bought (or handmade, of course) cupcakes. The hearts are about 1 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ so they are the perfect match for mini or regular sized cupcakes. The scroll is made from cocoa butter based chocolate transfer sheets, which is another trick you could try on your own. Fancy Fondant Florals – a unique way to decorate!

What better way to welcome the warm weather than a batch of cheerful cookies for the classroom, your neighbors or our office-mates? These lovely little sugar cookies are decorated with a simple layer of royal icing and our new fabulous floral fondant shapes. We used the Flowers Cookie Cutter Set (crinkled edges & straight) for five different sizes of flower cookies. Stack cookies on top of each other for a 3D look – I mean who doesn’t need three cookies in the same helping!?!

The fondant shapes couldn’t be easier to work with. They range in size from 1/2 inch to 2 inches and are all precut and ready to be applied to your cookies!
