Whimsical Snowflake Cupcakes

Whimsical Blue Snowflake Cupcakes
What better time than winter to create a whimsical treat! These darling cupcakes are made using your favorite cupcake recipe. Next you will need homemade or pre-made fondant for the top of the cupcake. We like the pre-made, it is easy and fun to work with! You will need to dye the fondant the blue shade you desire, then cut out snowflake shapes with your favorite cutter (make sure it is large enough to cover the top of your cupcake). A snowflake cutter with long, skinny arms works best to get the “icicle” effect you see in the picture. Finally you can garnish with Snowflake Sugar Whimsies, Dragees, and much more. 1. Well, this is just brilliant! It is the perfect combination… easy and elegant. It is also the perfect theme for after Christmas and before Valentine’s Day. When baking with kids, I use small snowflake cutters to make “crackers.” I just give them rounds of storebought, pre-rolled pie crust dough and let them cut out shapes, and then sprinkle on sea salt or whatever spices they like.
